Good morning, and thanks for your continued support of Extra Points.

The Big Ten isn't the only conference potentially sniffing around for new members (more on that in a few days, I promise).

Last month, I wrote about what I was hearing on the D-II to D-I front ($). Multiple conferences with northeastern footprints are looking for new members, and several D-II schools in that part of the country have expressed interest in potential reclassification. Previous realignment has made some current D-II leagues less stable, there are D-I leagues in their footprint looking for members, and the budget difference between a high level D-II in New England and a lower-resource D-I is not massive. It would make sense for there to be realignment interest in that part of the country.

But schools like New Haven and Le Moyne aren't the only D-II schools considering potential reclassification. There's also a school in Indiana.
