Good morning, and thanks for spending part of your day with Extra Points.
The rest of the college sports world rudely insisted on making news, even when Bryan and I were buried in NCAA Convention type stuff. I haven't had a chance to really write about it before, but it's worth pointing out now...things are getting weird at Hawaii.
The Rainbow Warriors have a new coach, bringing back local legend Timmy Chang to take over for the departing Todd Graham. But that wasn't a neat little story...that's after one state congressional hearing into how much Todd Graham sucked, a very public and acrimonious negotiation with June Jones, potentially other state lawmakers getting involved...and oh yeah, a temporary stadium, a turned-over roster, and a slew of other problems.
On today's Going For Two presented by Homefield Apparel, Bryan and I try to unpack everything that happened, provide some historical context, and discuss where the program may go from here:
Going For Two is the free podcast of Extra Points, which drops every Wednesday. You can find it via Apple Podcasts, Spotify and wherever else you get your podcasts. And hey, now you can ALSO watch the show! It has....production value!
We produce a ton of video content for Collegiate Sports Connect (which is free, btw), but we'll also continue to look at ways to add compelling videos here at Extra Points, including with the podcast.
You can grab your own Homefield gear and save 15% off your first order by using promocode EXTRAPOINTS, btw. They even sell Extra Points t-shirts, which are very handsome in my humble opinion.
If you enjoy the show, liking, subscribing, and sharing with your friends is very much appreciated.
