Conference Realignment Update 11/1: No, Conference USA isn't dead. Yet.

Good morning, and thanks for your continued support of Extra Points.
Before we dig into the news, there's an event coming up that I wanted to make you all aware of.
The University of South Carolina's Museum of Education has a special exhibit on the history of college football running right now. As part of that exhibit. I'll be giving a presentation, discussing my book on College Football What If questions, and the school's recent publication, The History of American College Football: Institutional Policy, Culture, and Reform.
The presentation will be on Wednesday, November 17, at 3 PM ET, 2 PM CT. This presentation will be over Zoom, and is open to the public. Stay tuned for more information on how to register, but if you'd like to hear me talk about pivotal moments in early college football history, you might enjoy this conversation!
Speaking of my book, I have about 20 copies available that I'm happy to sign and send out. I'll give a free signed copy to anybody who upgrades to the super deluxe paid membership tier this month. I will also sell a limited run of signed copies. These go for $18 (that includes shipping). If you'd like a signed copy, please email me or Twitter DM with your address. If these go quickly, I might be able to get in another run before the holidays, but these days, you never know.
Okay, that's enough commercials. Let's get to all the conference realignment stuff. The following is my best information as of Sunday evening.
