Hey, did you know Extra Points has a mobile app now? Because we do!

Good news for folks who prefer to read on their phones

Good morning, and thanks for your continued support of Extra Points.

I’d like to briefly interrupt my vacation to tell you about an exciting new product development with Extra Points.

I’m 37 going on 70, in that I read the overwhelming majority of my emails on my laptop or desktop, not my phone. But if you’re the sort of person who mostly reads their emails newsletters on mobile devices (and according to my metrics, thousands of you are in that category)…a new update from Beehiiv may make your life easier.

As of yesterday, you can now download a completely free Extra Points app. This app works for both iOS and Android users.

If you’d like to download the Extra Points app, just follow these steps

1). Pull up www.extrapointsmb.com on your mobile browser of choice, and make sure you are properly logged in. You don’t need to be a premium subscriber, but you do need to be A subscriber to Extra Points. If that isn’t you, good news, you can subscribe right here:

2) Once you are properly logged in on your mobile device, you should get a new popup that will ask if you’d like to download the Extra Points app. If you don’t see a popup, click on the little hamburger menu to download the app.

If you did it right, you’ll have a little Extra Points logo right there on your phone screen. This is what it looks like on my phone:

There it is, right next to Wikipedia. Don’t mind my editors…

What are the benefits of the app?

There are two big ones. If you read EP via your app, you won’t have to worry about being logged out and having to go through the Beehiiv Magic Link rigmarole that I know isn’t ideal. You can also opt into notifications for whenever we publish a new newsletter, or when somebody (like me!) responds to one of your comments.

You certainly don’t need to do this if you don’t want to! If we’re being completely honest here, it’s actually slightly better for me if you just read the newsletters in your inbox. But I understand that this is a quality of life thing for many of you, so I wanted to make sure you were aware that this is now an option.

I read all of your feedback about the newsletter, and am in regular contact with the development team at Beehiiv about ways we can better serve you.

Just wanted to make you aware of our cool new feature! I’ll be back from my trip on Thursday, and have a few other guest newsletters to share over the next few days as I work my way back into the swing of things.

Now if you’ll excuse me, I have another expensive artisanal soda to drink.
