What can college sports learn from F1?

Good morning, and thanks for your continued support of Extra Points.

I'm not used to being an in-demand radio guest in mid-May. That's not a humblebrag or anything, but it's a reflection of how interested a lot of folks are in NIL and changing regulations, and well, this is the sort of thing I spent digging into basically every day.

But I've felt bad, because I don't have a great take about the recent NCAA guidance on NIL and collectives. It's not really a new policy, and to what extent these rules are enforceable, or how much administrative capacity the NCAA has to enforce them even if they are, is an open question.

I said open question, not forgone conclusion, because I honestly don't know what will happen next, and to be honest with you, I'm a little surprised to see so many people acting like they do know what will happen.
